Murakoze Cyane! Thank You For Making Diner en Blanc 2014 A Huge Success

Diner en Blanc-Kigali 2014 was our most successful and exciting one to date! In this, our third year of hosting the event in our city, we had a diverse group of guests from over 10 different countries including Switzerland, South Africa, Oman, Belgium, Kenya and others.

We would like to thank all our guests, volunteers and sponsors who attended the event and made Diner en Blanc such a success. Each year we are amazed at the creativity, beauty and enthusiasm our guests bring to Diner en Blanc and can’t wait each year to see how they top themselves. The continuous support we receive from our national and city authorities—including the Kigali City Council, the Rwanda Development Board, the Rwanda Utilities and Regulatory Authority, the Rwanda National Police, and the Ministry of Sports and Culture—has been amazing each year, and this year was no exception. Our hosts at Acacia Gardens in one of Kigali’s upcoming neighbourhoods provided a wonderful view of the city’s new developments. We would like to give a huge vote of thanks to our main sponsors Positive Productions, SORAS Insurance Company, KK Security, Akagera Game Lodge, MTN Mobile Money, Esicia Ltd and Rwandair, as well as our partners Kigali Bus Services and Royal Express.

This year’s prizes for best table were generously provided by Mille Collines Hotel by Kempinsky who are creating a unique cocktail and dining experience for the best table winners. Brachetto Restaurant is also offering a six-course dinner with paired wines as the prize for second best table. Our third best table winners receive an exclusive photo shoot by the country’s best photographers at Illume Creative Studio.

Winners of our best dressed prizes will get air tickets from Rwandair to Nairobi and Mombasa, and second prize winners will get clothes or accessories designed by the country’s leading young designers including House of Tayo, Haute Baso, Tsapa!, Sonia Mugabo, and Inzuki.
To our hard working team of amazing volunteers, who always keep our guests happy and excited for the event as well as go above and beyond in day to day organization, we thank you so very much for all you do for us, especially our repeat volunteers who know this is not always easy, but definitely worth it.
